The retail shop has proven highly successful and McCarren Direct has gone from strength to strength which we contribute to our consistent high standards resulting in exceptional quality produce at affordable, competitive prices.We are looking to recruit the right person for a permanent Retail Butcher to join our team.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:Supporting the Manager in the day to day running of the shopCut, prepare and serve all protein products and species including the manufacture of sausages and minceHandling and preparing raw and cooked foods in a delicatessen environment for chilled cabinetsProvide top quality, fast, efficient and friendly service, giving customers immediate and undivided attentionEnsure stock control procedures including waste management and order systems are adhered toBest practice merchandising, display and department layout skillsImplement all shop marketing plans and maximising promotionsSet-up and close-down of counters and pore-pack areasHelp to achieve Sales Targets as agreed with shop managerTo ensure company rules, policies and procedures are adhered to at all timesAlways maintain a clean butcher/retail environmentUphold and enhance Health and Safety Standards, including cleanliness and hygieneMaintain legal records as required dailyFacilitate and participate in the introduction of any new range as the company requiresAssist in quality checks as requiredRequirementsExcellent customer service and communication skillsTeam PlayerPositive attitude to workSelf-motivated and ability to work on own initiative as well as in a teamAbility to work under pressureQualifications/ExperienceFluent English essentialMinimum of 3 years previous experience within a similar environment working at a fresh meat counterHygiene/HACCPBenefitsStaff discount for McCarren DirectCompany PensionDiscounted Health InsuranceFree parkingPermanent Contract
