Key Responsibilities and Duties
Provide technical leadership and direction for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring the successful integration of new products into the plant's existing manufacturing processes.
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and product/process development to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Support the development and execution of strategic engineering plans that align with the organisations overall objectives and future growth.
Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of problem-solving and professional growth within the team.
Support key internal automation initiatives in collaboration with other departments and manufacturing engineers to optimise plant operations.
Ensure compliance with all applicable quality, regulatory, and safety standards, and actively participate in audits and continuous improvement of compliance systems.
Assist in managing capital expenditures, including tracking, reporting, and forecasting project budgets as required.
Drive changes and continuous improvement in site engineering systems and procedures to support operational excellence.
Participate in managing Key Cost to Win programs, ensuring timely and effective project implementation.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management to support the success of the team and organisation.
Key Skills and Competencies
Minimum of 3-5 years' engineering experience, including direct involvement in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, integrating new products into existing manufacturing processes and driving successful launches.
Project Management Experience preferable.
Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence outcomes in high-demand NPI environments, especially when managing limited resources and tight timelines.
Proven track record as an agile learner, quickly adapting to new technologies and evolving NPI requirements; recognised for excellent interpersonal skills and consistently delivering measurable results in NPI initiatives.
