Our client, an Irish owned company are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join their team on a permanent basis.

Job Responsibilities
Using analytics, statistical software and database technologies that include Python, SQL, R, Spark and Hadoop in order to analyze and review a variety of data
Using an approach that is analytical in order to design and develop models and algorithms that can extract value from the data
Build and maintain machine-learning models
Identify various patterns and/or behaviours from data sets
Engage with different teams to explore problems and design solutions where possible
Present analysis and interpretation for operational and business review and planning
Support short and long term operational/strategic business activities through analysis of data
Develop good business solutions through research and interpretation of data and business process
Ensure on time delivery of solution for the test and build phases. Oversee the resolution of major technical issues.
Support the strategy for business improvements using best in class technology
Create overall technology standards and practices and ensure best practice development processes are followed
Track, analyse and monitor all delivery performance metrics that are related to data
Experience Required
5-6 years’ experience in ML projects using real data while being exposed to different challenges and type of data (structured and unstructured)
Have experience using different libraries and algorithms, especially for deep learning
Hold a degree in Analytics, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics or Engineering
Track record and commercial experience in developing machine learning models
Well-rounded data science skill sets
Experience with common open source ML libraries – like Python or R
Ability to communicate effectively and be a team player
A passion for problem solving using data and analytics
Essential and Desirable Skills
Experience with relational databases
Experience with Spark/PySpark
