Unijobs DAC are currently recruiting a Manager for the Fees Office within the Finance Division, at the University of Limerick.
The position is temporary, full time, working 35 hours per week.
The rate of pay is starting at €***** per hour, but can be negotiated depending on experience.
The position is initially anticipated to be for six months, with the possibility of extension thereafter.
Job Description The key responsibilities of this post will include, but will not be limited to: To co-ordinate and supervise a dedicated team of key personnel who deliver a range of functions in relation to all aspects of student finance.
Provision of financial services within the Student Fee Office that is necessary for the functioning of the University and for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Maintain student/module/course data to ensure accurate and complete billing.
Collaborate with a range of functional departments, including MPR, student services, student admissions, postgraduate admissions, continuous professional education, UL Global, and the information technology division with the objective of improving reporting to Executive Deans, Governing Authority and the HEA.
Reporting student fee income to the HEA and other external organisations.
Oversee the invoicing of funding agencies, sponsors and scholarship schemes and ensure payment of all invoices, within agreed time frame.
Devise and implement a range of student fee collection process with an emphasis on reducing the level of student bad debt.
Manage Federal Aid process in collaboration with UL Global.
Provide accounting input for the design and operation of all systems focusing on internal controls and reconciliations.
Management of audits both internal and external.
Manage the Student Fees Office and the development of staff.
Preparation of year end audit files, postings, and analysis.

Essential Requirements: Customer focus experience dealing with multiple stakeholders and multiple competing deadlines with focus on delivering high quality service.
The role requires a high level understanding of database management, technical development, testing and implementation.
Advanced Excel skills and experience.
Experience in Database Student records system - SITS or equivalent.
Ability to chair meetings of large project teams and groups of stakeholders, participants will normally be senior managers.
Person appointed must have at least five years' senior experience in a student records function (or equivalent high volume transaction database environment) dealing with multiple stakeholders.
A minimum of 5 years' experience of managing staff and teams.
Experience in leading teams through system and process development and implementation.
Project management experience and knowledge.
Level 8 NFQ in IT or business.
Professional accounting qualification.
Desirable Requirements: Good understanding of academic programmes, student lifecycle and progression.
IT Qualification or equivalent experience with Database/ERP system.
