Job Title: Older Adult Physiotherapist Opportunities
The role of a physiotherapist working with older adults is a rewarding and challenging career path that involves providing expert care to individuals who require assistance with mobility, function, and overall well-being.
In this position, you will be responsible for conducting individual assessments, joint multidisciplinary assessments, functional, fitness, and falls risk assessments using best practice outcome measures to devise treatment plans that achieve person-centered short- and long-term goals. You will also work closely with other members of the healthcare team to provide a holistic approach to care.
The ideal candidate will be competent and enthusiastic in instructing, prescribing, recording, and analyzing best practice exercise with participants of varying capacity and pathologies. They will be genuinely interested in and committed to working with the older adult population and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and joint assessments to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Deliver evidence-based exercise programs to improve physical function and reduce the risk of falls
Requirements:
- CORU registration as a physiotherapist
- Membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP)
- Valid driver's license and access to a private vehicle (if applicable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
