We're seeking a Lighting Controls Service & Commissioning Engineer to join our Dublin-based team.
In this hands-on, client-facing position, you will work alongside our Technical Manager and support team to design, commission, maintain, and fine-tune Entek's intelligent systems for a wide range of clients throughout Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
* Commission, test, and service advanced lighting control and emergency lighting systems across multiple sectors.
* Diagnose and resolve system issues through effective on-site fault-finding and technical troubleshooting.
* Support contractors with installation best practices, system validation, and client handover.
* Deliver client training and clear technical assistance both on-site and remotely.
* Produce and maintain technical documentation, wiring schematics, and service reports.
* Perform maintenance health checks, identify upgrade opportunities, and recommend improvements.
* Collaborate closely with Design Engineers, Project Managers, and End Clients to ensure every system performs safely, efficiently, and exactly as intended.
* Ensure quality control and system compliance with Entek's standards of excellence.
Ideal Skills & Experience
* 2+ years' experience commissioning or maintaining electrical, lighting, or building automation systems.
* Qualified Electrician or Diploma in Engineering or a related discipline.
* Familiarity with lighting control protocols such as DALI, BUS, MESH or KNX.
* Experience producing CAD drawings or other system documentation.
* Knowledge of networking, system integration, and electrical schematics.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a professional service.
* Ability to work independently and within a team to meet project deadlines.
* Fluent English (written and verbal).
* Ideally located within the Dublin area or surrounding counties.
* Full, clean driver's licence.
