We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Clinical Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in General Adult Psychiatry. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to develop their skills and experience in a supportive and progressive mental health service.
About the Role
* Participate in clinical meetings, contributing to the delivery of high-quality mental health care as part of a multidisciplinary team under the supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
* Provide regular supervision and support to junior staff members, promoting their growth and development within the team.
* Engage in teaching and educational activities, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance the skills of colleagues and promote best practice within the service.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality clinical services, ensuring timely and effective assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with complex mental health needs.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners, fostering a culture of collaboration and respect within the organization.
* Stay up-to-date with relevant research, policies, and guidelines, applying this knowledge to inform clinical decision-making and drive continuous quality improvement within the service.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of service-wide initiatives, promoting innovation and excellence in mental health care delivery.
Requirements
* Medical degree from a recognized institution.
* Full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
* Driving license essential, as the post is community-based.
* Previous experience in psychiatry, preferably in a similar role or setting.
* Eligibility to work in Ireland.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying current with best practices and research in mental health care.
