Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day operations of the Accounts Department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Review and approve financial reports, including Profit & Loss, balance sheets, and forecasts.
* Manage monthly closing processes and ensure timely and accurate journal entries.
* Monitor and reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
* Lead payroll processing, ensuring compliance with all legal and company policies.
* Ensure compliance with all taxation, regulatory, and audit requirements.
* Collaborate with department heads to track costs, reduce waste, and support financial decision-making.
* Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts in line with business goals.
* Maintain strong internal controls to protect hotel assets.
* Liaise with auditors, regulatory bodies, and hotel ownership as needed.
* Provide financial insight to management to support strategic planning.
Requirements
* A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Minimum 4 years of experience in a financial management role.
* Proven experience in hotel or hospitality finance preferred.
* Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Proficient in Excel and accounting software; experience with back office hotel systems is a plus.
* Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and leadership skills.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and support senior stakeholders.
