Main Duties
* Maintain a friendly, welcoming attitude and provide exceptional guest service with a smile.
* Report for duty on time, dressed in the correct uniform and to the required standard.
* Familiarize yourself with the style of service as per Standards of Procedure.
* Be knowledgeable about the hotel and its facilities.
* Have sufficient menu knowledge in food and beverage, and perform all duties expected within the role.
* Explain menus/dishes to guests, serve dishes, clear plates, and provide bread and cheese service.
* Be familiar with beverages, informing guests, selling, ordering, and serving them.
* Learn about menu ingredients for each item.
* Prepare the restaurant for service, including cleaning, laundry duties, linen preparation, silver polishing, tabletop presentation, and mise en place tasks.
* Work effectively as part of a team, communicating well with fellow Chef de Rangs and Commis de Rang.
* Provide tray and room service as needed.
* Operate on the Pass, assisting with delivering dishes to different food outlets.
* Carry out duties as directed by the Restaurant Manager.
* Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
Responsibilities
* Ensure complete guest satisfaction.
* Collaborate with other departments to provide helpful service.
* Keep the restaurant area clean and tidy at all times.
* Comply with Health and Safety policies and Staff Handbook responsibilities.
* Follow management’s reasonable requests.
* Maintain professionalism and respectful behavior towards guests, colleagues, and management.
* Learn the restaurant’s table plan.
* Deliver trays to the appropriate station and ensure timely service of plates.
* Communicate effectively between kitchen and service, especially during ‘Pass’ shifts.
* Lead and direct the Commis and F&B Assistants to uphold industry standards and hotel procedures.
This is a full-time, rostered position that includes weekends and evening shifts. Candidates must have at least 2+ years of experience in a similar role and permission to work in Ireland.
