Job description The Communications Manager is responsible for developing the communications strategy through to activation delivery for a range of stakeholders across the Brand & Marketing and Ireland Country Marketing function.
The role holder will shape how millions of customers experience the brand, through business impact and the autonomy to drive creative work.
This role requires understanding of the broad multi-channel communications scope across Influence, social media, PR, corporate responsibility and experiential.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong commercial understanding and relevant retail experience.
What you'll do: Strategically lead, develop and activate the communications strategy/plans to deliver the Ireland TK Maxx annual communications strategy, and supporting Homesense strategy in line with business goals and priorities.
Management of external communications agency Burson (Wilson Hartnell) to deliver all day-to-day workings of the account including the development of all the communications activity.
Also supporting with the integration of the total local agency network.
Diligent budget management for the annual TK Maxx & Homesense communications budget, inclusive of PO management and budgetary planning/phasing, keeping costs within plan.
Innovate and maintain up to date knowledge of communications from wider industry sources within Ireland and across Europe.
Developing a comms strategy partnering with internal key business partners that maximises prioritised commercial and business opportunities across the wider business and marketing functions, such as Gift Cards, Treasure, Store Trading and Retail teams.
Lead communications planning for high profile national moments, including launching new brand campaigns as well as local tactical moments, such as individual store support activity, both that directly drive annual business and commercial objectives.
Reporting and metrics led insights to ensure actionable insights and best practice across all communications.
Lead the communications plans for any New Store Openings across both brands within the Irish market.
Required profile What you'll bring: Professional experience in either marketing or other relevant experience (Agency or Client side).
Experience in leading the management of third-party agencies to deliver results.
Experience within a large retail business or matrix organisations.
Solid project management skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Experience of self-development, objective setting and performance management.
Flexible, able to find solutions in uncertain or unknown circumstances, comfortable working in the grey.
Highly numerate and confident with commercial data, managing budgets and creating/analysing reports.
Ability to control and manage to tight deadlines.
Experience of working with task management and creative development tools: Microsoft Excel, Sprinklr, Powerpoint, and Copilot.
