Position Summary
NeoDyne is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer to support one of our key client sites on a contract basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the NeoDyne team and play a critical role in delivering automation expertise across the Cork based site.
This role focuses on the design, improvement, and support of electrical systems for site equipment and infrastructure, including power distribution, control panels, and instrumentation, ensuring compliance and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing electrical control systems and instrumentation for power generation and energy systems.
* Developing detailed schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
* Producing drawings, wiring schematics, lists and data sheets using AutoCAD and EPLAN.
* Developing PLC and SCADA software for control and monitoring systems.
* Overseeing the installation of control systems and instrumentation equipment.
* Collaborating with technicians and contractors to ensure proper implementation.
* Undertaking Factory and Site Acceptance Testing.
* Commissioning of control systems in the field.
Experience & Skills
Required
* Level 8 Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
* 3+ years’ experience in electrical or automation engineering.
* Knowledge of process instrumentation and wiring.
* Experience with control networks and communications systems (Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet).
* Knowledge and experience in the Energy sector would be advantageous but not essential.
