We believe that such a strong workforce will help us achieve our goals and allow us to continue investing in, and advancing, Ireland's water services.The Role: The Transaction Services teams within Uisce Eireann Business Services are responsible for providing an effective and efficient service to the Uisce Eireann business in relation to Finance, HR, and Procurement transactional activities, in addition to a number of reporting and compliance activities for the Business Services unit as a whole.The Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) team works in close collaboration with the HR teams, including L&D, WFP, ER/IR, Reward etc. to provide data to drive decision-making and to support internal reporting and governance.Reporting into the HRIS Implementation Strategy Manager, the HRIS Technical Lead is a key member of the HRIS team and will assist the Manager in the management of HRIS, production of HR reports and compilation of data. The HRIS Technical Lead will additionally be responsible for the provision of support of HRIS, working with a team of HRIS Analysts.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure HRIS are up to date at all times to ensure accuracy of dataResponsible for the delivery of accurate monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc HR reports to the wider HR community, within agreed time frames. These may include headcount reports, training records, absence reports, demographic information, or any information required by the HR teamWork alongside a team of HRIS Analysts to drive efficient service delivery and quality outputs, based on achievement of agreed KPIs and service measuresActing as a point of escalation for analysts Escalating risks and issues as appropriate to the HRIS Implementation Strategy LeadPartner with HR Management, Business Partners and the wider HR community to understand and identify HR reporting and analytics needs and assess the relevance, accuracy and usability of metrics and reports and continually improving on sameBuild and maintain end-user metrics reporting and ensure the HRTS teams HR analytics capability is developing to ensure service offering is meeting business demandsKeep updated on best practice advances on both HR technology and HR analytics and inform relevant HR approaches with thisEnsuring that HRIS management and reporting duties are carried-out in line with appropriate GDPR/data protection proceduresSupport HRIS, through researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirementsRepresent the HRIS team at meetings related to new features, enhancements and upgrades for the HRIS systemCollaborating with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix Contribute to the maintenance of user security for the HR system environment through quarterly security reviews in line with audit recommendationsCreate and review upgrade documentation and ensure existing processes will continue to operate as expectedConduct regular review of the system data to ensure its reliability of data and compliance with all relevant policies and proceduresWork in conjunction with IT department to identify and coordinate training for new product features and process changes Assisting with internal and external audit requestsSupport Transaction Services HR Manager with wider HRTS projects as requiredGeneral Duties and ResponsibilitiesCollaboration with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ businessResponsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards. Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann's Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulationOther duties as required.Knowledge, Skills and Experience:Relevant third level qualification and or equivalent experience is desirableA minimum of 3 years' experience in Information Systems or HR process orientation with systems backgroundExperience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable A minimum of 5 years' experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable and or relevant experience Ability to develop and maintain effective strategic partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally Proven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion along with the ability to communicate complex information to othersHighly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to deliver resultsStrong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutionsDemonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirementsProactively identifying new areas of improvement and using newly gained knowledge and skill on the jobThe closing date for receipt of applications for this vacancy is 05/01/2026.Please note that applications submitted after this closing date will not be accepted.*Please be advised that if successful you will be placed on the salary range based on your skills and experience.
