We're Hiring: Food & Beverage Manager
Are you a passionate and experienced leader in hospitality? The Glengarriff Park Hotel is currently seeking a Food & Beverage Manager to oversee and elevate the standards of our bar and restaurant operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant team and play a key role in the continued success of our hotel.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will be confident, well-presented, and an effective communicator with a proven ability to lead, train, and motivate teams. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all food and beverage outlets, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create and manage weekly F&B rotas while maintaining labour costs within budget and ensuring appropriate staffing for each shift.
* Oversee stock control processes including ordering, monthly stocktakes, stock rotation, and maintaining clean, organized storerooms.
* Liaise with suppliers and monitor product pricing to ensure cost efficiency.
* Ensure all departments maintain high standards of cleanliness; implement and monitor checklist systems including a "check-the-checker" process.
* Conduct regular training and development sessions for all F&B staff and supervisors to promote team growth and service excellence.
* Monitor and minimize waste across all departments.
* Be a visible presence on the floor, actively engaging with both staff and guests.
* Maintain F&B equipment and ensure machines are deep cleaned regularly; report maintenance issues promptly.
* Lead and support bar, restaurant, and supervisor teams, fostering a motivated and customer-focused environment.
* Plan staffing, stock, and logistics for upcoming events and busy periods, ensuring smooth operations during peak times.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef on food menu development, with a focus on presentation and profitability.
* Curate and update beverage menus in line with seasonal trends, maintaining profitability and incorporating a select number of new products.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in a similar F&B leadership role.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* A proactive and hands-on management style.
* Excellent knowledge of food and beverage operations, stock control, and cost management.
* Passion for delivering high standards and enhancing guest experience.
