We are currently seeking several dedicated and detail-oriented
Care Home Pharmacy Technicians
to join our team at Cara Allcare Pharmacy. The successful candidates will play a key role in managing care home accounts, ensuring efficient and accurate medication preparation and delivery, and maintaining strong professional relationships with care home staff and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with nurses, care workers, and GPs associated with assigned care homes.
* Process all daily orders for designated accounts in a timely and accurate manner, ready for pharmacist verification.
* Ensure monthly orders are collected, processed, and completed before the specified deadlines.
* Follow up on any queries with GP practices promptly and professionally.
* Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.
* Strive to enhance customer satisfaction and deliver a consistently high standard of service to all care home accounts.
* Work collaboratively within a team environment and provide support to colleagues when needed.
* Communicate effectively with the Technician Manager regarding any issues or feedback from care homes.
* Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accountability in all areas of work.
Essential Criteria:
* A recognised Pharmacy Technician or Dispensing Technician qualification, or extensive relevant experience in a similar role.
* Minimum of
2 years' experience
working as a pharmacy technician in a busy pharmacy setting.
* Proficiency with
McLernons Dispensing System
is essential.
* Strong data entry, organisational, and time-management skills.
* Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
* A flexible and proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Willingness to undergo full care home training provided by the pharmacy.
* Ability to confidently present information to patients and small groups, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
Desirable:
* Previous experience working with care homes is an advantage, though not essential.
