This is a fixed term contract position for 12 months and will report to the Financial Accounting Team Lead.The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced, innovative environment where there is a key focus on continuous improvement, while delivering high quality, reliable services to other divisions within Glanbia.Job ResponsibilitiesAssist with the preparation of Intercompany Reconciliations across the groupPrepare weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of cash records while escalating and resolving discrepancies in a timely mannerAssist with the preparation and execution of payment runs, taking responsibility for accuracy and compliance with internal controls while gaining exposure to the treasury processes.Contribute to the management of direct credit control by monitoring outstanding receivables and supporting customer follow-ups.Manage the day-to-day delivery of all tasks in line with the service level agreementDeveloping relationships with the specific business units whose tasks you are completingCollate and summarise operational and financial information from various sources within the Group for onward reporting and circulation to tight deadlinesAssist in the development and maintenance of reporting processesProviding general accounting assistance in a dynamic shared services centre including reviewing and analysing detailed financial informationMaintain a strong set of financial controls ensuring that their area of responsibility is compliant with the group policyAd hoc work as required in the roleQualification & Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field requiredSuitable for recent graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of post-qualification experience.Proven track record in a similar role; related experience in an FMCG business environment is desirable but not essential.Ability to work to and meet tight deadlinesAttention to detail; meticulous accuracy in financial data entry and record keeping is criticalExcellent data analytical and strong numerical skills.Excellent communicator with experience in engaging with customers, colleagues, Senior Management and external service providers.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships within finance and other functions.Experience with SAP is desirable but not essentialIf you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please applyWhere and How You Will WorkThe opportunity will be based in Dungarvan, Waterford with hybrid working arrangements available, which allows you greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance.What We Would Like to Offer YouThe opportunity to develop your career on a global stage, continuous learning through an on-demand learning platform, and a competitive compensation package including staff discounts, generous family leave policy, health & dental plan, competitive salary, and 401K.About GlanbiaGlanbia is a better nutrition company with three divisions: Performance Nutrition, Health & Nutrition and Dairy Nutrition.
