Establish a strong Health and Safety program by employing an experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) principles.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in EHS, with at least 7 years of experience working in the chemical, pharmaceutical, biochemical, petrochemical, or process-related industry.
* Support General Safety and High-Risk Work Programs as a subject matter expert.
* Provide SME support for Environmental Programs, including air, water, and waste management.
* Offer safety support for ongoing and new projects to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
* Participate in local safety teams, audits, inspections, incident investigations, and other safety initiatives as required.
* Represent the EHS team in risk assessments, change management impact assessments, training delivery, and contractor management.
* Audit and assess EHS processes and systems against company Global Safety and Environment Standards.
* Report on weekly KPIs to management and department teams regarding EHS objectives/targets (planned vs. actual performance).
* Lead by example and implement a robust EHS culture across the site.
