About The Role
We are looking for a Customer Business Manager to join our dynamic Commercial team. As part of this role, you will develop and execute strategic customer plans in line with business strategy to deliver business objectives, deliver budgeted sales, spend, and profit measures and create joint business plans with customers that deliver business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Overall P&L responsibility for customer, key business measures volume, revenue, and margins.
* Fully engage in the commercial planning process.
* Market understanding - Continuously develop an understanding of the market and increase business with existing clients through range expansion, training, promotional activity, and customer support.
* Drive KPI’s achievement sales value, margins, and customer investment.
* Monthly demand planning meetings to drive accuracy of sales forecasts.
* Develop strong relationships both internally and externally.
* Design and implement effective and clearly defined Joint Business Plans (JBPs).
* Ensure NPD listings, PGR execution dates, promotional activity and all other relevant JBP sections are implemented and executed on time and communicated back to the business.
* Responsible for ensuring information keyed into systems and to the trade is accurate and correct.
* Deliver excellence in financial management for the sales function at Customer Business Manager level including excellence in forecasting and budgeting.
* Deal directly with the Trade Re-Order Department Personnel, Buyer Assistants and other relevant trading personnel in your Channel to further capitalise on strong trading relationships.
What you’ll have
* Ideally, 3+ years of experience in FMCG grocery trade with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets
* Defined strategy for new business hunting and existing business growth.
* Strong commercial acumen with ability to adapt and develop ever changing account performance.
* Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
* Excellent IT Skills and excellent data analysis skills.
* Proven ability to demonstrates strategic thinking and decision making.
* Proven ability to manage and evolve with challenges and opportunities in today's market.
* Inspiring communicator and persuasive presenter with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
* Ability to demonstrate excellent customer and brand knowledge
* Positive Attitude with ‘Can Do’ mentality
* Preferable WSET level 2 but not essential
