Hours: 2 days a week Weekend most likely (week day availability when required)
About Us: The Yarn Cafe, located within Bruff Village, is a welcoming space for residents, social day club members, visitors, and the public. We pride ourselves on excellent service, quality food and beverages, and a friendly atmosphere.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Yarn Cafe Team Member to serve food and beverages working front of house, you should also be able to provide kitchen support. You will need to maintain hygiene and safety standards, and ensure a great experience for customers. If you are as comfortable with customers as you are in the kitchen, we'd love to hear from you. Customer service and kitchen assistant experience is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide warm and attentive customer service.
* Take orders and serve food and drinks efficiently.
* Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages.
* Follow HACCP guidelines for safe food and drink handling.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in service areas.
* Operate the till and handle payments accurately.
* Assist with stock management and daily shop operations.
* Assist with Food prep and presentation.
* manage clearing/ wash up of dishes and post as required.
Skills & Experience:
Previous Cafe Or Customer Service Experience (essential).
HACCP knowledge and food safety awareness (essential).
Barista skills or willingness to learn.
Friendly and professional attitude.
Team player with good communication skills.
