Position: Assistant Director of Nursing at Mowlam Healthcare Services. Location: Kilbarry Care Centre. Join us as a senior clinical leader responsible for day‑to‑day practices, staff rostering, supervision, clinical governance, and risk assessment.
Position Overview
Reports to the Director of Nursing. Provides clinical leadership, manages operations in the centre, collaborates with senior management, deputises for the Director, and ensures high standards of nursing and social care.
Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical practice: Maintain and monitor care standards, conduct ward rounds, review documentation, manage high‑risk residents, support medication practices, conduct audits.
Staff supervision & education: Support CNMs, mentor nurses and carers, lead performance appraisals, facilitate training, maintain team cohesion, produce rosters.
Auditing: Clinical, environmental, hand‑hygiene and medication audits; safety audits, risk assessments.
Resident and relative engagement: Act as primary contact, address complaints, liaise with multidisciplinary team.
Management and communication: Lead the centre in the absence of DON, maintain open communication, represent the centre in senior team.
Daily activities: Roster management, attend handovers, support clinical practice, enforce health & safety policy.

First‑level registration on NMBI live register.
