Land Acquisition Specialist
The primary objective of this role is to secure third-party land acquisition for the successful delivery of renewable energy projects. This entails devising and implementing negotiation strategies for large-scale development and energy infrastructure projects.
* Manage complex agreements, including options, leases, wayleaves, and easements.
* Represent the company in negotiating viable and cost-effective land deals that enable renewable energy projects to progress from initial site selection through to agreed Heads of Terms.
Responsibilities:
* Lead negotiations with landowners to secure necessary agreements.
* Manage third-party independent valuation processes.
* Establish and maintain good relationships with landowners, tenant farmers, land managers, or others who own and manage land.
Requirements:
* At least 6 years of professional work experience in agriculture, forestry, property, or project management, or a related discipline.
* Familiarity with Irish Property Law and knowledge of relevant documentation are essential.
* Experience with renewable energy projects and commercial understanding of business needs is required.
Key Skills:
* Excellent negotiating, influencing, presentation, and communication skills.
* Strong stakeholder management skills are highly desirable.
* Sound knowledge of sustainable land management practices.
