Junior Sous Chef – Gastro Pub, Galway
Salary: €40,000 per annum

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and creative chef to join a vibrant kitchen team in a highly regarded venue known for its modern Irish cuisine, seasonal menus, and outstanding guest experience.
As Junior Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high-quality dishes are prepared and presented. You will be involved in menu development, stock management, and leading the team during busy service periods, making this an ideal role for a chef looking to step up in their career.

The Duties:
* Assist in leading the kitchen team during service.
* Support in menu creation and development with a focus on seasonality and innovation.
* Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
* Oversee stock control, ordering, and waste management.
* Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff.
* Ensure compliance with HACCP and all food safety regulations.
The Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a quality-driven kitchen.
* Strong cooking skills with a passion for gastro pub dining and modern Irish cuisine.
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
* Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
* Must be living in Ireland and have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
