Job descriptionKitchen AssistantMillbrae Lodge Nursing Home are recruiting for Full Time Kitchen Assistant.Responsibilities_Washing utensils, pots, pans, and chopping boardsSanitising the food preparation areasPreparing ingredients, including washing and choppingSweeping, mopping, and emptying rubbish binsOrganising food supplies and ingredientsAssisting the chef and taking directionsKnowledge of HACCP· Maintain a neat and tidy work environment at all times; ensure cleanliness of all areas where food is stored, prepared and served.· Wear appropriate protective clothing as per HACCP regulations.· Be willing to complete other job related tasks at request from time to time.· Keep all cleaning equipment clean and descale appliances regularly were necessary.· Dispose of all waste appropriately, i.e. grease, cardboard, glass, etc.· Recognize tasks to be done and complete them professionally and thoroughly.· Use the proper equipment and supplies for the job.· Read and understand all chemicals used in the kitchen and wear suitable protective clothing were necessary.· Handle all appliances and equipment with care to avoid unnecessary breakage and waste.· Notify maintenance department of any issues or problems with facilities.· Notify supervisor of faulty equipment.· Monitor stock levels of all equipment and supplies.· Be mindful of supply use and avoid waste.· Keep cleaning checklists and reports up to date as per manager's request.· Ensure the privacy, dignity and confidentiality of all residents.· Carry out all work whilst ensuring resident safety.· Practice proper infection control techniques.· Other duties which may be required from time to time.· Be willing to participate in all job related training.INDHJob Types: Full-time, PermanentWork authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
