Job Description Summary:
The Materials Planner will manage the conversion of SAP requirements, production plans and production planning inputs into valid material plans in order to ensure on time availability of raw materials, packaging and production materials to meet production demand and maintenance of inventory levels as per Company policy.
Key Responsibilities
This role demands a dynamic and adaptable approach, as associates may be required to undertake duties beyond the listed responsibilities depending on evolving business needs.
* Development, maintain and update an ingredient, packaging and controlled materials plan over a rolling 12-month period ensuring it is communicated to all stakeholders.
* Ordering of all materials from suppliers to ensure manufacturing requirements are met and the inventory policy adhered to.
* Orchestration of material deliveries with suppliers and hand off to logistics team.
* Develop and maintain SAP planning policies / parameters in accordance with best practice
* Manage seasonal raw materials procurement requirements.
* Managing supplier performance management by keeping records for quality and service issues, tracking issues and reporting performance periodically.
* Review and maintain inventory policy that meets the needs of the business with periodic sign-off and approval
* Minimise inventory exposures through MRB processes – aging and Non-conformance routines
* Establish and implement policies, procedures and processes to support material planning activities
* Actively support the achievement of Company, customer, and individual business objectives in the areas of cost, quality, service and capability
* Performs other tasks, analyses and special projects as assigned
* Safeguard and protect all Company information and property. Safeguard Company trademarks that standardize and protect all information surrounding confidential ingredients and flavours manufactured by The Coca-Cola Company in order to prevent breach of trademark security within the Company
* Protect all intellectual property, information and technology surrounding confidential processes and products using established legal safeguards in order to prevent a breach of trademark security within the Company
Skills and Experience required
* Degree in Supply Chain/Finance/Business/Science/Engineering or other related field
* At least five years' experience in a world-class, high-volume manufacturing facility in a similar supply chain role
* Experience with SAP or similar materials planning systems experience required
* Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement.
* Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making and strategic thinking skills
* Ability to manage and prioritise multiple conflicting demands
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including influencing, listening, teamwork and building value-based relationships
* High level of PC and data literacy.
