The role of the Delivery Commercial Interface Lead is to manage and optimize the commercial interface between delivery operations and business stakeholders, ensuring cohesive project execution and achievement of shared objectives.

The primary responsibility of this role is to act as the point of contact for all commercial matters not directly related to the principal construction contracts, ensuring smooth coordination and communication among various stakeholders across the project.

The role holder will analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, lead risk activities related to interfaces, and provide strategic insights to senior management.
">
By overseeing the implementation of commercial agreements and monitoring interface activities, the role plays a critical role in the successful delivery of the project's objectives.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement commercial strategies to enhance delivery operations and achieve business objectives.

* Act as the primary point of contact for commercial matters between delivery teams and business stakeholders.

* Lead a team of delivery commercial Interface Managers.
">
* Monitor the completion of projects and implement effective and rigorous project evaluation methodologies to inform future planning.
">
* Oversee the negotiation, execution, and management of delivery-related relevant contracts and agreements.
">
* Manage relevant budgets and financial forecasts related to delivery operations.
">
* Prepare and present regular reports on commercial performance to senior management.
">
* Assist with the planning, development, commissioning, and implementation of any future commercial interface management systems.
">
* Support the development and maintenance of plans, management controls, information processes and systems to support the timely delivery of all delivery commercial interface activities.
">
* Acknowledge and address significant challenges within the ongoing interface programme, providing solutions and strategic guidance.
">
* Coordinate interactions between contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure alignment and the achievement of shared goals.
">
* Lead all risk activities related to interfaces, implementing mitigation strategies and offering expert advice to senior management.
">
* Ensure the seamless integration of work performed by various contractors, preventing gaps or overlaps that could lead to delays or cost overruns.
">
* Lead the continuous monitoring of interface activities, oversee status reporting, and manage the prompt resolution of any issues to ensure successful project delivery.
">
* Perform additional tasks, activities or other duties as may be required or assigned as part of the role.

Requirements
">
The ideal candidate will have 15+ years'commercial and contract management experience within construction / civil engineering, with 3+ yearsin a similarleadership role.
">
Experience in developing and implementing commercial strategies, managing contracts, and negotiating agreements is also essential.
">
Additionally, the candidate should possess strong project management skills to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of the project.
">
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and relate to individuals and groups – both technical and non-technical – are also required.
">
Strong analytical and organisational skills, as well as the ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure high quality service, are necessary.
">
Ability to develop successful commercial relationships that have benefitted programme performance and delivery metrics is also an advantage.
">
Knowledge of Program Management, including but not limited to Governance, Risk Management, Issue and Change Management and Benefits Realization is desirable.
">
The candidate should also be able to work effectively within a cross function multi-disciplinary functions matrix environment while ensuring that all procurement related tasks are conducted in a timely and accurate manner.

Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines is essential.
">
Additionally, the candidate should be able to develop long term relationships with the Directorate wide team members.

Education
">
Minimum level 8 degree in engineering, construction or a related subject matter or equivalent experience is preferred.
