The role sits at the intersection of strategy, product, marketing, sales and customer success and requires a systems thinker who can distill complex product capabilities into market-winning strategies, identify opportunities and risks, and drive cross-functional collaboration.Reporting directly to the General Manager of the Governance business, this role will lead strategy and operations for our Governance solutions, collaborating with Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and other business units to identify growth levers, optimize customer journeys, and scale client engagement strategies. This is a growth-minded, data-driven leadership role in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Vision:Support the GM and Product Leaders in developing comprehensive go-to-market and market entry strategies across our software portfolio and all market segments (SMB, mid-market, enterprise), industries and geographies. Partner with cross-functional teams to execute strategies and drive impactDevelop comprehensive business cases for major strategic initiatives and capital investments, including market opportunity assessment, competitive analysis, financial modeling, and risk evaluation to support executive decision-makingIdentify and evaluate corporate development, strategic partnership, and business development opportunities aligned with growth objectives, partnering with our corporate development team on deal evaluation and integration planningConduct ongoing competitive benchmarking and industry trend analysis to identify opportunities, threats, and strategy gaps for product roadmap and GTM decisionsPartner with cross-functional teams to lead annual and quarterly strategic planning processes, including market assessment, competitive positioning analysis, and strategic priority setting across the Governance business unitDrive AI-first initiatives by identifying opportunities to integrate AI into product and GTM strategy to deliver market insights and faster decision-makingGo-to-Market Excellence:Contribute to P&L planning and forecasting with market-driven insights to support revenue targets and investmentsCollaborate on pricing strategy optimization and revenue model innovation to maximize market penetration and sustainable growthDevelop and present ROI analyses for strategic initiatives, growth investments, and market expansion opportunitiesGrowth & Product Adoption:Identify, develop and execute revenue growth strategies across the entire customer lifecycle from acquisition to expansionDesign and implement growth experiments, measure impact, and iterate based on performance dataDrive product adoption initiatives across existing customers to increase revenue per customerDesign and optimize customer journey experiences to improve conversion and expansion metricsLead pricing strategy and packaging decisions to maximize market penetration and revenue growthPartner with Sales and Customer Success to develop scalable product adoption playbooks for client expansion and retentionBusiness Unit Leadership & Development:Serve as a member of the Governance Leadership team and help build a high-performing team with clear goals, KPIs, and performance standardsFoster a culture of data-driven decision making, rapid experimentation, and continuous learningDevelop team capabilities in competitive analysis, customer research, and growth marketingProactively identify opportunities to leverage AI for competitive advantage and lead by example in adopting AI tools to enhance productivityQualifications10+ years of experience developing and executing product strategies, including GTM strategies and driving revenue growthExcellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex concepts clearlyAbility to excel in a dynamic environment and balance multiple prioritiesStrong creative, problem solving, and strategic thinking abilitiesDemonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work to drive timely, high-quality resultsExperience integrating AI tools into marketing workflows and strategic planningExceptional analytical, critical thinking and quantitative skillsProven experience leading and managing teamsPrevious experience with our target personas (general counsel, corporate secretary, legal ops, CFO, internal audit) and/or governance or entity management industries strongly preferredU.S. pay range$173,000 - $250,000 USDWhat Diligent Offers YouCreativity is ingrained in our culture.
