We're committed to becoming the most trusted and sustainable business in Ireland, and we're looking for dynamic, forward-thinking individuals to join us on this journey.As we continue our journey toward becoming Ireland's most trusted and sustainable business, we have an exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to join our team as anFood Safety & Quality Technical Specialist.This role is responsible for providing Food Safety & Quality technical support at each of the stages along the supply chain, for Retail Distribution & Export Centers in Dublin.What you'll be doing:Responsibility for Food Safety Quality Management Systems required to meet with regulatory requirements and prescribed standards (e.g. FSSC Ensuring the safety of all food product are not compromised during storage, assembly, and distribution in Allied Cookstown (Tallaght)Leading the on-site HACCP team, and conducting audits of FSMS compliance to schedule, issuing reports, and agreeing improvement plans with the supply chain and facilities team.Export Hub Ballymun - working with export operations team to develop / maintain FSQM system and ensuring site continues to meet DAFM licencing requirements.Preparation for, and co-ordination of external regulatory and certification audits in Allied Cookstown), and Ballymun Export Hub (e.g. DAFM and FSSC and customer audits.Manage content and deliver food safety training to all new employeesReporting on FSQ performance against targets (KPI's)Perform product testing/auditing at CDC at goods receiving and despatch in accordance with agreed testing schedules, procedures & specification alignment.Assessments of packaged Own Brand products against specificationEnsuring adherence to pre-requisite programme e.g. calibration, pest control, Glass & Perspex audits, verifying accuracy and filing of temperature documentationFollowing up on supplier non-conformances and queries.Reviewing retailer claims / product returns to approve / reject.Ensuring all Retailer FSQ queries are actioned and closed out in a timely mannerSupporting FSSC22000 accreditation in Chill and Ambient depots – TACCP, Internal audits, and traceability exercises.Project WorkWork on required projects with the FSQ Coordinator to improve and drive the FSQ initiatives within the business.
