Senior Architectural Technologist Location: Galway (with free parking) Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join our award-winning, multidisciplinary practice.
This is a senior-level position suited to a technically strong professional who can lead complex projects from early design stages through construction and handover, while managing teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality architectural and technical solutions across a diverse portfolio of large-scale projects in Ireland and the UK.
Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver complex architectural projects from concept design through to completion and handover.
Manage and coordinate large internal and external design teams.
Produce high-quality architectural and technical design packages, including detailed working drawings.
Develop technical solutions using Revit and BIM workflows, ensuring best practice and compliance.
Prepare, coordinate, and submit statutory applications, including Planning Permission, Fire Safety Certificates, and Disability Access Certificates.
Coordinate tender packages and construction documentation.
Supervise projects during the construction stage, addressing technical queries and site issues as they arise.
Liaise closely with contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure compliance with building regulations, technical standards, and project requirements.
Support project management functions including programme coordination, quality control, and delivery timelines.
Contribute to continuous improvement of technical standards, BIM processes, and office workflows.
Project Experience Experience in the following project types is highly advantageous: New-build and refurbishment projects Commercial office developments Industrial projects Multi-unit residential and mixed-use developments Skills & Experience Required Minimum 5+ years' relevant professional experience, preferably within Ireland or the UK.
Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology or Architecture.
Strong technical knowledge with advanced proficiency in Revit; Auto CAD experience highly desirable.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
In Design experience is desirable but not essential.
Proven ability to manage and run complex projects independently.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and coordinating design teams.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, design-led environment.
