Job Description:
The Senior Occupational Therapist in Palliative Care plays a pivotal role in the holistic care of patients under the palliative team's supervision. This specialist position emerged from the Slaintecare Project's Rehabilitative Palliative Care initiative, sponsored by Prof. Karen Ryan.
The post-holder is responsible for delivering a comprehensive occupational therapy service to patients receiving palliative care, including cancer services, older persons, COPD and neurology cases. They will form strong links with community teams and specialist palliative care services throughout Ireland.
