We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Worker to join our Day Services team in New Ross, Wexford.
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to live independent lives within their community. You will provide support and encouragement to enable service users to achieve their goals and aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide individualised support to service users to promote independence, dignity, and inclusion
* Develop, implement, and review person-centred plans to meet the unique needs of each service user
* Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners to facilitate active citizenship and participation
* Transport service users to access community-based activities and services
* Act as a key worker, providing administrative support, advocacy, and liaison with families and other stakeholders
* Promote a culture of dignity, choice, and inclusion in all aspects of service delivery
Requirements:
* A relevant QQI qualification (minimum Level 5) in Healthcare or a related discipline
* Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a related sector
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A full clean manual driving licence and access to own vehicle for work purposes
* Compassionate, proactive, and person-centred approach to care
