We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a full-time permanent Community Service Development Manager. This role will play a key part in shaping the future of our services for people with physical and sensory disabilities.
As Community Service Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new services and programs that support participation and independence in the community. This will involve building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including HSE, local authorities, community groups and other relevant agencies.
Key objectives include:
* Developing and implementing service models in community centre services
* Supporting person-centred processes within community centre services
Additional responsibilities include:
* Conducting needs assessments, risk assessments and training needs analysis in partnership with people using the service
* Managing and leading staff to facilitate team building and meet required standards
* Ensuring services are in keeping with IWA Standards of Practice
* Recruiting and managing volunteers to assist with services
Priorities include building strong relationships, promoting positive awareness of disability and safeguarding children and adults from abuse or harm. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Required skills and qualifications include:
* A degree at QQI Level 8 or professional qualification in Applied Social Studies/Registered Nurse/Social Worker/Community Work/General Management
* A minimum of 5 years of people management experience, including previous experience in the disability sector or similar services
