Job Information
Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Manager will plan and manage the execution of multiple contracts via Construction Managers, overseeing projects from initiation through to close out. The role focuses on resource planning to deliver work safely, efficiently, within budget and on time, while maintaining quality standards.
Typical Responsibilities
Develop project execution strategies including vendor and subcontractor selection.
Establish highly effective construction supervision teams across various sites / multiple contracts.
Collaborate with EHS Officers/Managers to establish site safety requirements, create execution plans, conduct incident investigations, and liaise with customers on near‑misses and incident reports.
Manage multiple client relationships to ensure customer loyalty and repeat business.
Plan all aspects of the work from initiation through execution and closure, including critical‑path analysis and work‑around planning to prevent slippage.
Identify and manage contract risks and opportunities.
Oversee weekly/monthly progress reporting to customers and their representatives in a timely and professional manner across multiple contracts.
Collaborate with internal functions such as HR, Finance, Commercial, Procurement and Estimating to enable efficient contract execution.
Attend and chair internal and client site meetings as necessary to achieve successful outcomes for all stakeholders.
Ensure accurate forecasting of costs to completion through construction managers’ progress reporting and earned‑value analysis.
Work closely with the commercial team to proactively manage contractual commercial aspects.
Resolve customer complaints and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate mobilization and demobilization of site engineering and craft resources.
Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards, client specifications and industry requirements.
Achieve on‑time final acceptance and takeover of each contract.
Education, Training & Experience
Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Construction or equivalent.
Project Management Certificate or Diploma.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Primavera) is advantageous.
Completion of Management of Safety in Construction (MSIC) or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.
Industry experience in the construction phase of pharmaceutical, electronics or oil & gas projects.
Contract administration experience including claims management.
