We're currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with an award-winning Pharmaceutical organization based in Louth. This is an excellent position for anyone who is looking to join a leading multinational who are one of the best at what they do.

Duties:


1. Integrate EHS requirements into capital projects, facility upgrades, and process changes.
2. Conduct Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs) and ensure closure of EHS-related actions prior to commissioning.
3. Perform field walkdowns to identify hazards and verify engineering controls.
4. Support criticality assessments for equipment, utilities, and processes impacting safety and compliance.
5. Lead development and implementation of High Hazard Programs (e.g., Construction Safety, ATEX, Process Safety Management).
6. Support Biosafety programs including containment strategy validation.
7. Support Hazardous Waste and Chemical Inventory systems in compliance with pharmaceutical regulations.
8. Schedule and coordinate Industrial Hygiene Monitoring (air sampling, noise, exposure assessments).
9. Support Machine Safety and LOTO programs for equipment installations and maintenance.
10. Ensure compliance with EHS regulations including HSA and EPA.
11. Implementation of Construction, Machinery and other EHS Regulations.
12. Develop and maintain assigned EHS programs and provide support for other programmes.
13. Lead incident investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions.
14. Deliver technical EHS training to projects, engineering, operations, and laboratory staff.
15. Promote safety culture through awareness campaigns and toolbox talks.
16. Documentation & Reporting
Education and Experience :

17. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related technical discipline.
18. Professional certifications are highly desirable.
19. ATEX/Machinery or PSM-specific training/certification is a plus.
20. A minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device or chemical manufacturing environments supporting projects/operations.
21. Proven experience supporting capital projects, facility upgrades, and equipment installations with EHS integration.
22. Demonstrated involvement in GMP-regulated operations and cleanroom environments.
23. Proficient with Construction Safety and associated regulations and requirements.
24. Working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) principles and implementation.
25. Experience conducting Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs) and criticality assessments for new equipment and systems.
26. Proficient in field walkdowns, hazard identification, and verification of engineering controls.
27. In-depth understanding of HSA, EPA, and other applicable EHS regulations.
28. Experience with PSDP and PSCS requirements
