Emeis Ireland is seeking a highly capable Training Manager to provide a cost-efficient, standardised training governance function across our nursing home portfolio. This role plays a key part in ensuring consistent delivery of mandatory and regulatory training aligned with Company and HIQA standards, strengthening staff competency and resident care.
Working in close partnership with the Head of Learning & Development, Regional Directors, Directors of Nursing, HR, and site-based training champions, the Training Manager will support high-quality care through robust induction, mandatory training, and competency assessment frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and oversee mandatory healthcare training including Manual Handling,Safeguarding, Health & Safety, and other required programmes.
* Drive standardisation of induction, mandatory training, and competency assessment across homes.
* Work closely with DONs and PICs to ensure full training compliance.
* Conduct training needs analysis and annual group-wide training assessments.
* Define and review annual training plans with senior leadership (CHRO/COO/L&D).
* Develop training materials, manuals, onboarding resources, and multimedia learning content.
* Coordinate internal and external training delivery as required.
* Maintain accurate training records in line with emeis and HIQA standards.
* Manage training documentation, shared folders, trainer certifications, DPIAs, and evaluations.
* Produce monthly training reports and metrics for SMT and L&D.
* Evaluate training effectiveness and modify programmes as required.
* Support HR and operational teams on training delivery and compliance.
* Undertake additional tasks to support the training function as required.
Qualifications & Experience – Essential
* Clinical or Healthcare education background (nursing qualification desirable but not essential) with 3-5 years experience in healthcare training, clinical education or related role.
* Strong working knowledge of HIQA regulations and National Standards for Residential Care.
* Experience delivering training to multidisciplinary teams (nurses, HCAs, support staff).
* QQI Level 6 Manual Handling / Patient Moving & Handling Instructor qualification.
* IHF-recognised Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor qualification.
* Solid understanding of safeguarding, IPC, end-of-life care, care of the older person, and core care skills.
