About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bid Writing Specialist to join our client’s dynamic team. This pivotal role involves crafting winning bids and proposals for high-value construction projects across residential, commercial and public sector domains. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, procurement frameworks, and the ability to translate technical information into persuasive, client-focused content.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end bid writing process for public and private sector tenders.
* Collaborate with estimators, quantity surveyors, project managers, and senior leadership to gather technical input and develop compelling proposals.
* Interpret tender documents, PQQs, and ITTs to ensure full compliance and strategic alignment.
* Write, edit, and proofread bid content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and impact.
* Develop reusable content libraries and maintain up-to-date case studies, CVs, and project profiles.
* Manage bid timelines and submission schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met.
* Conduct post-bid reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of bid strategies.
* Conduct post-bid reviews to analyse strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
* Keep up to date with industry trends, client needs, and best practices in bid writing.
Requirements
* Proven experience in bid writing within the construction or built environment sector.
* Exceptional written communication and storytelling skills.
* Strong understanding of procurement processes
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with bid management tools (e.g., InDesign, Canva, Adobe Professional etc) is a plus.
* Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset.
* Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to simplify complex technical information for non-technical audiences.
* Self-starter and someone who can work on their own initiative
