Located on the scenic west coast of County Clare, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in a high-volume seafood restaurant. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for driving culinary excellence, ensuring consistently high-quality dishes, and upholding exceptional food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and maintaining all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
* Lead, train, and inspire a team of chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and efficiency.
* Develop and execute seasonal menus that showcase fresh local seafood, working closely with suppliers to ensure quality and consistency of ingredients.
* Manage food cost, portion control, and stock rotation, driving business growth through effective financial management.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen.
* Strong background in seafood preparation and Irish/European cuisine.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Deep understanding of kitchen financials, food safety, and team management.
