Job Description:

The role of a Training Consultant is to develop and implement learning solutions that support functional requirements. This involves consulting with all levels of management to translate business needs into learning strategies, ensuring alignment with the needs of the Business Unit and Northern Trust.

As a Senior Training Consultant, you will lead as well as work collaboratively with Training Consultants to define learning solutions. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing programs that support individual and organizational performance, designing and implementing proactive communication plans, evaluating training solutions, identifying new learning development vehicles, recommending purchases, facilitating learning and training solutions, acting as project manager for major initiatives, and staying up-to-date with learning best practices.

Area-specific duties include Transfer Agency AML Design, maintaining an AML training curriculum for the Transfer Agency function, integrating AML rules and regulations into training programs, coordinating/delivering the AML new hire curriculum, designing and delivering training for existing systems and new system rollouts, ensuring COO L&D Training interventions are aligned with Business Unit and/or enterprise-wide needs, consulting with areas in the business unit, and working collaboratively with other global training teams.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement learning solutions that support functional requirements
* Consult with all levels of management to translate business needs into learning strategies
* Design and implement proactive communication plans to ensure effective delivery of learning and development initiatives
* Evaluate training solutions to identify areas for improvement
* Identify and evaluate applicability of new learning development vehicles, tools or programs developed by other organisations or vendors
* Recommend purchase of programs to management, as appropriate
* Facilitate/conduct learning and training solutions
* Act as project manager for major, complex and high-profile learning and development initiatives
* Keep abreast of learning and development best practices and introduce them to Northern and the L&D Training Team

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven operational experience, preferably in TA or a similar role in financial services OR training consulting experience, ability to perform training needs analysis, ability to build and design a training curriculum program, Anti Money Laundering (AML) expertise; specifically rules and regulations would be beneficial, excellent communication skills, ability to work with all levels of staff, self-starter and team player, attention to detail.
