Mount Wolseley Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is seeking a Receptionist to join the team.


About Mount Wolseley

Mount Wolseley Hotel in Carlow is beautifully situated in the tranquil countryside of County Carlow, just one hour from Dublin City. The Mount Wolseley Luxury 4* Golf & Spa Resort Hotel offers luxury hotel accommodation with an elegant, chic interior and ultra-modern amenities and impeccable service. The estate features an 18-Hole Championship Golf Course and a Sanctuary Spa with leisure facilities including a 20m indoor pool.


Responsibilities

* Ensure efficient and smooth operations for producing excellent feedback and guest satisfaction. Respond to guests in a professional and courteous manner by providing accurate and timely information and services. Ensure hotel charges are processed diligently to guests\u2019 accounts, invoices are accurate, billing instructions are verified, and all necessary supporting bills and vouchers are attached for direct settlements.


Responsibilities (detailed)

1. Supervise the operations of the front desk to ensure an optimal level of service and hospitality, maintain outstanding customer care, and a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanour.
2. Courteously and accurately answer inquiries from potential guests and accept hotel reservations.
3. Use suggestive selling techniques to sell room nights, increase occupancy and revenue.
4. Supervise daily shift process ensuring all team members adhere to standard operating procedures.
5. Train, direct the work of, resolve issues, coach and counsel front desk team members to ensure a quality operation.
6. Resolve customer issues and complaints quickly and efficiently to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and service.
7. Allocate rooms to expected arrivals after checking guests\u2019 preferences and special requests.
8. Build strong relationships and liaise with other departments, especially housekeeping and reservations.
9. Perform other duties as assigned or deemed necessary by management.
10. Ensure safety by following guest check-in and security procedures and reporting suspicious activity to security, manager, or Manager on Duty.
11. Participate in hotel meetings and training as requested.
12. Assist all departments in servicing guests during high-volume periods.
13. Takes responsibility in the absence of the Front Office Manager.
14. Any other duties as assigned by management.


Requirements

About The Role

A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role in a hotel is essential. Experience with HotSoft or similar systems.
