The Role.
GMC Utilities Group are currently seeking an experienced and proactive IMS Manager to lead and manage the continued development, implementation, and maintenance of our Integrated Management System across Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and Information Security standards.
This is a strategic role, suited to someone with a strong background in ISO management systems, internal auditing, and compliance within a construction, utilities, or infrastructure environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the maintenance, compliance, and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS) in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001 standards.
* Lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely close-out of non-conformities and driving corrective/preventive actions.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and company requirements.
* Support operational teams in the implementation of management system processes and procedures.
* Conduct risk assessments and support the development of improvement initiatives across departments.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies, certification bodies, and third-party auditors as required.
* Prepare reports and presentations on IMS performance, trends, and KPIs for senior management.
* Develop and deliver IMS-related training to staff at all levels across the business.
The Candidate: Required Experience and Competencies:
* Minimum 5 years' experience managing integrated management systems within construction, civil engineering, or utilities sectors.
* Proven knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ideally ISO 27001.
* Lead Auditor qualification in one or more relevant standards desirable.
* Excellent knowledge of compliance, risk management and audit processes.
* Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
