Job Description
The General Manager will be responsible for managing UPMC Aut Even Hospital, liaising with senior executives, collaborating with external bodies, and developing issues. As head of service, they will be accountable for achieving targets and objectives, leading teams and staff, and creating good working relationships internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the lead executive within the senior management team and discharge the primary executive leadership role within the organisation.
* Lead the delivery of management structures, management processes and clinical governance to ensure compliance with best practice recognised nationally and internationally.
* Lead performance monitoring and secure progress towards agreed targets and objectives.
* Share responsibility with other key Executives for the operational and commercial policy and decision making within the organisation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A third level degree preferably a master's in healthcare or business management preferred.
* Four to eight years' experience in a senior management position, healthcare or medical setting an advantage.
* Strong financial and analytical skills.
* An effective negotiator with a heightened awareness of the need for value for money practices.
* An effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
* An effective leader with the ability to engage with and motivate others to perform to the highest standards in the delivery of services in a hospital setting.
