- this Senior position combines strategic leadership with hands-on financial planning and operational oversight.The Finance Department provides a range of Financial services in support of the Society's primary mission which aims to make a positive impact to people's lives.You will lead the Finance Department alongside the Director of Finance and Corporate Services and you will be supported by a team that is managed by the Finance Manager.Key Responsibilities: Lead the financial and management reporting processes Implement and maintain a strong financial control environment ensuring compliance with relevant legislative requirements Ensure integrity of annual financial statements Financial planning and analysis, including the budgeting and forecasting processes Contribute to the overall organisational strategy as part of the senior management team Develop process improvements to enhance reporting capabilities and drive efficiencies Manage relationships with auditors, bankers, investment advisors, insurance brokers, and other professional partners Lead change initiatives within the finance function while supporting broader organisational changes Oversee recruitment, training, development, and performance management of the finance team.Qualifications:
* Professional Accounting qualification
* Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
* Demonstrated experience delivering systems or process improvements
* At least 2 years of team management experience
* Experience using an accounting software, and a CRM system
* Excellent MS Excel skills Desirable:
* Experience in leading and managing internal audits
* Experience working with Business Central (or Navision), MS Dynamics, and Power-BI
* Advanced Excel skills; complex formulas and automation techniques
