Job Description
This position is permanent for Youghal, Co. Cork, and surrounding counties.
We are hiring for a great opportunity within our Retinal Technicians team in Youghal, Co. Cork, and surrounding areas. The role involves eye photography to identify damage to the retina caused by complications of diabetes. Experience is not essential, making this a perfect opportunity for someone looking to enter healthcare or someone already in the healthcare space wanting to develop their skillset. We have a professional team that will support you every step of the way towards becoming a specialist in this field.
Our Team
You'll be part of the national programme, working alongside our Senior Diabetic Retinal Technicians and Team Leaders, supported by the administration team, programme manager, and clinical lead. All team members are or are on their way to becoming subject matter experts in retinopathy, ensuring you will have the necessary support.
Qualifications
We want to set you up for success, so here are the key skills we’re looking for:
* Experience is not required
* A full, clean Irish driver’s license and a safe place to store the company vehicle
* A passion for customer care and positive patient outcomes
* IT literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, and regular use of Microsoft Office
* Initiative, ability to prioritize tasks, and problem-solving skills
* A strong work ethic and proactive approach, as you will be largely unsupervised after initial training
* Excellent communication skills at all levels
