An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading organisation operating within the live entertainment, events, and venue sector across Ireland. This position will support a broad range of operations including live events, touring productions, festivals, venue activities, and associated commercial functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving continuous improvement across health, safety, and compliance standards while supporting operational teams in delivering safe and successful experiences. The role requires a proactive and solutions-focused safety professional who can build strong relationships across diverse operational environments and contribute positively to an evolving safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the organisation’s health and safety management systems
Provide practical health and safety guidance across venues, live events, productions, and operational functions
Assist with the development and review of risk assessments, safe systems of work, and operational procedures
Conduct audits, inspections, and compliance reviews across multiple sites and events
Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes
Monitor legislative updates and industry best practice to ensure ongoing compliance
Deliver coaching and guidance to operational teams to promote positive safety behaviours
Assist in the development and reporting of health and safety performance metrics
Collaborate with external consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies where required
Support emergency preparedness and response planning activities
Requirements
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification
Membership of a recognised professional health and safety body desirable
Previous experience within events, entertainment, hospitality, leisure, venue operations, or a similarly fast-paced operational environment
Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and compliance requirements
Experience supporting operational stakeholders with practical and proportionate safety solutions
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects and locations
Confident engaging with external authorities and enforcement agencies when required
Experience supporting live events, concerts, festivals, productions, or venue environments
Fire safety and/or food safety knowledge
Full clean driving licence with flexibility to travel across Ireland and Northern Ireland
