Here at The Victoria hotel we have an exciting vacancy for a Kitchen Porter to assist in the daily operations of our hotel.Your Profile:A little bit about you:You have 1 year experience in a busy kitchen environment (preferred)You are a team playerAbility to use own initiativeYou have the ability to work under pressure while working efficientlyResponsibilities And DutiesTo carry out all cleaning duties in the kitchen area and all other areas related to storage in the kitchen.To ensure health and safety standards are adhered to.To comply with cleaning schedule as directed.Cleaning and sanitizing all meal preparation areas as well as kitchen walls, stoves, sinks, ovens, and grills.Sweeping and mopping all kitchen areas during shifts and at the end of shifts.Washing dirty dishes, cutting boards, utensils, and cooking equipment.Ensuring that food mixers, cookers and other cooking equipment are in good working order.Emptying, re-lining, and washing garbage cans as required.Ensuring that refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas are clean and well-organised.Assisting the Chef with basic food preparation, which includes washing, peeling, and cutting meal ingredients as per the Chef's instructions.Any other duties as directed by management.Can handle Alcohol stocks both full and empties.Has Good understanding of English LanguageThe CompanyThe Byrne Hotel Group is a unique collection of family owned hotels and guests houses in Galway, Dublin and the UK offering Irish Hospitality at its best.
