Role DescriptionThis is a part-time, remote role for a Cyber Security Specialist. The specialist will be responsible for ensuring the security of applications, networks, and information systems. Day-to-day tasks include assessing cybersecurity risks, implementing necessary protections, monitoring systems for potential threats, and responding to security breaches. Collaboration with team members to enhance security protocols will also be a key aspect of this role.QualificationsProficiency in Application Security practices, including identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities in software applications.Strong skills in Cybersecurity and Network Security, with the ability to safeguard systems and networks from various threats and attacks.Knowledge in Information Security, focusing on protecting sensitive data and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.Expertise in general Cyber threat detection and response methodologies.Intermediate understanding of cryptography, incident response, and ethical hacking is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in high-pressure situations.Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.
