The role
Overview
Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Early Years Educator responsible for providing a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children in line with the Aistear and Síolta frameworks. Duties include supporting children's learning and development, planning age-appropriate activities, maintaining records, ensuring health and safety standards, and building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements
Minimum qualification is Fetac level 5 in Early years or equivalent
Responsibilities
Provide a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for children
Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities in line with Aistear and Síolta
Supervise children during play, meals, and rest times
Maintain daily records and observations of children's progress
Follow health, safety, and safeguarding procedures at all times
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Assist with hygiene, feeding, and personal care routines
Prepare and maintain a clean and organised classroom environment
Participate in team meetings and ongoing training
