The Role
The Hotel Service Department function aims to achieve delivery of a quality service for Integrated Services, Catering Sevices, Divisionwide Driving Services, Divisionwide Ground Maintenance and Centralised Switchboard services.

The shift patten for this post are
Post 1: 12.33 hours per week (Monday – Friday 16.00 – 19.00)
Post 2: 14.8 hours per week (Monday – Friday 16.30 – 19.00)
Post 3: 22.22 hours per week (Monday – Friday 15.30 – 20.00)
Please note the salary is pro rata for part time hours.

Key Responsibilities
Core Cleaning
All aspects of cleaning ensuring cleaning work schedules are followed
Operation of cleaning equipment (see attached equipment list)
Removal and disposal of waste
Litter picking within 10m radius of buildings
Curtain/Screen Hanging
Catering Related Duties
Meal service tasks (including plating meals) as per departmental HACCP system
Record food, fridge and hot plate temperatures as per departmental HACCP system
Dishwashing
Prepare for next meal service
Operation of catering related equipment (see attached equipment list)
Removal and disposal of waste
Patients Personal Clothing Service
Sorting and classification of clothing before washing
Operation of laundry equipment (see attached equipment list)
Sorting and packing of clean garments
Removal and disposal of waste
Porter / Messenger Services
Collect and distribute on site mail
Operation of mail equipment (see attached equipment list)
Collection and onward transmission of specimens and sharps boxes
Patient transport on site and off site
Patient escort duties
The movement of furniture and office equipment

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
Knowledge of all of aspects Integrated Service as in job purpose (Induction training provided)
Training in the use of all machinery used (Training provided)
Knowledge of Health and Safety (Training provided)
Knowledge of COSHH (Training provided)
Knowledge of Lifting and Handling (Training provided)
Basic Food Hygiene certificate (Training provided)
Knowledge of Infection Control practices (Training provided)
For tasks involving driving duties a driving licence is necessary
