As part of an expanding retail network, we're now hiring a Mobile Shop Assistant to support retail operations across several stores in the Cork area, primarily in Blackpool and Kinsale Road, with occasional support required at other nearby locations.
About the Role
This is a mobile role requiring flexibility, quick adaptability, and a positive attitude. You'll provide day-to-day customer service, support sales growth, and ensure smooth shop operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, working with people, and being on the move.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and dependable service to all customers
- Support daily sales by promoting a wide range of products and solutions
- Identify customer needs and provide tailored advice and product recommendations
- Assist in achieving sales targets and key performance metrics
- Ensure the shop floor and merchandising displays are tidy, stocked, and appealing
- Maintain stock levels and organise deliveries and replenishments
- Make outgoing telesales calls to existing or potential customers
- Comply with safety and security protocols at all times
- Travel as required to other stores within the region to provide cover and support
About You
- Previous experience in retail, trade counter, or customer-facing sales role
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for helping customers
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a team-player mindset
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively
- Full driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (essential)
- Flexibility to travel between store locations within the Cork region on short notice
- Background in hardware, construction, automotive or DIY sectors is an advantage, but not essential
