Role - Site Manager/Civil Site engineer
Location - South East Ireland
Our client is looking for a Site Manager / Site Resident Civil Engineer for the delivery of projects in ireland. The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of their construction sites in Ireland. This role requires ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, safety, environmental compliance, and commercial and contract adherence. The roles will be based in Ireland, on two separate project sites, with one position on each site.
Manage, monitor, and supervise all on-site activities of our contractors
projects being delivered under multi-contract model during enabling works, main construction and commissioning activities.
Administer the Contracts for main contractors on site, including discharging of delegated responsibilities by the Engineer.
Ensure strong compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, with a strong emphasis on the specific challenges of solar site construction.
Act as the primary point of contact for the project team, on site for the specified project.
Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for the project team and senior management
Undertake Quality Assurance reviews, audits, and checks of the civil works on the site throughout the construction period.
Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively in collaboration with other project team members.
Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, inspections, and incident reports
Essential Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in civil engineering with experience of construction site management for energy infrastructure projects.
▪ Strong working knowledge of FIDIC Contracts and the administration of Contracts in this form.
▪ Led successful stakeholder engagements with internal and external relevant parties and authorities.
▪ Strong delivery and solution focused in a commercially driven environment.
▪ Strong capability in assessing, communicating, and managing project critical risks.
▪ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on one’s own initiative while also
collaborating strongly within a team.
▪ Excellent report writing skills.
▪ Full driver's license and access to a car.
Desirable Experience
Acted in the position of Site Manager in previous energy infrastructure projects.
▪ Experience undertaking the role of PSCS on construction projects
Essential Qualifications
▪ Level 8 Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent.
Desirable
▪ Chartered status of a recognised professional institution.
