Senior Planner

€85,000 - €100,000 per annum

As part of its continued growth and expansion, the company is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join its Dublin-based project team. This key role involves overseeing all aspects of project planning and scheduling to ensure that major construction projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting project delivery through expert planning insight, data analysis, and collaboration with project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare detailed contract and project programmes, including monthly progress reports and updates
2. Monitor project progress, trends, outputs, and resource allocation to enhance overall project performance and planning intelligence
3. Lead all scheduling and reporting activities for tenders and live contracts, ensuring consistency and compliance with company standards
4. Collaborate closely with project teams on planning, sequencing, and schedule-related issues
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, the supply chain, and external stakeholders
6. Conduct short- and medium-term planning reviews, providing forward-looking insight to identify and mitigate potential risks
7. Challenge existing approaches and explore alternative construction methodologies to achieve efficiency and continuous improvement
Candidate Requirements
8. Relevant third-level qualification in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline
9. Minimum of 5 years' industry experience in project planning or scheduling within construction or civil engineering
10. Strong technical knowledge of planning tools and methodologies
11. Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint
12. Excellent communication and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
