Overview Of Role: We are hiring an Access to Care Team Lead on a permanent 35‑hour week contact. Patient Services Lead will lead, guide and supervise a patient service advisor team to successfully manage patient administration services on a day‑to‑day basis.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the patient services team to include, but not limited to:
Registration and clearance
Admissions and discharge
Claims and re‑imbursement management
Medical records filing
Health information management
Clinical support
Administration support
Work with the finance to improve departmental billing and payment processes
Take lead in delivering patient focused service, quality and efficiency
Assist the clinical team with management of clinical research trial patients
Assist with preparation for accreditation surveys
Identify and action training needs for the patient services team
Participating in cross departmental service focus groups
Promote the department positively and build sound business relationships with key stakeholders‑ consultants, GPS, other healthcare institutions, business community, community representatives.
Ensure hospital communication systems support relationships with all stakeholders
Provide information and analysis necessary to facilitate understanding of patient demographics, GP referral patterns and population trends relevant to the clinic and healthcare generally.
Provide regular reports to the management team against agreed business development plans, programmes and budgets.
Administration Support
Deal with any patient queries in relation to price, payment excesses and ensure all patient fees are captured in advance of surgery/treatment.
Liaise with the finance department regarding patient accounts and capture of payments.
Develop departmental rota in advance and seek staff agreement while meeting organisational needs.
Oversee cash collection, balance daily, prepare for lodgement and follow up on cash balancing issues.
Collate patient satisfaction surveys monthly and forward them to management.
Take a hands‑on role in the administration areas and perform medical secretary tasks for consultants.
Work in conjunction with the IT department to resolve issues promptly.

Hold a recognised business qualification at least to diploma level

Salary scale: €40,500.00 – €59,064.80 per annum based on a 39 hour week
